The Dino-Lite Digital Microscope is set to automatic white balance by default. Automatic white balance does a very good job under most circumstances, especially in good light. However, there are times when white balance needs to be changed manually to match the lighting in order to obtain more true-to-life colors in a photo.
To adjust the automatic white balance in the DinoCapture software, place a completely white object underneath the Microscope. (Example: A white piece of paper or business card.) Move the microscope near the white object and then adjust the magnification until the object is in focus.
(If the real time image is in focus and starts to fade in and out, wait 10 seconds then proceed to the next step).
Once the object is in focus
Go to Settings > Real-Time image setting > Uncheck the box under the White Balance option.
Note:
Please use the same lighting conditions before and after adjusting the advance white balance setting.
If the lighting conditions change after the white balance has been set. Please repeat the steps to adjust the advance white balance setting.
