2. The DinoCapture captured image or video files have been modified or moved externally to the DinoCapture program. Solution
Rename the “Digital Microscope” folders that contain the settings files for DinoCapture (for example, change the name to “Digital Microscope Old”). The folders may be found in the following locations:
Windows Vista/7
C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Digital Microscope\
C:\Users\”Your user name“\My Documents\Digital Microscope\
Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Digital Microscope
C:\Documents and Settings\”Your user name“\Documents\Digital Microscope
All Windows Operating Systems
Do a search for “Digital microscope”, and also rename the folder if it exists in any other location.
Now, open DinoCapture and it will recreate the “Digital Microscope” folder in the “Your user name”\Documents directory and run without error. At this point you may copy back the Picture and Video folders into the new Digital Microscope folder to restore your pictures and videos.
