Entomologists love using the Dino-Lite Digital Microscopes because they are inexpensive, portable, and powerful.

These handheld cameras provide researchers with a portable digital microscope that works in the field or in the lab. Inspect plants in the field for vector study, research, or education. Students use these cameras to easily examine small specimens. In a lab, the DinoEye eyepiece cameras enable easy documentation and real-time sharing of subjects under traditional stereo, compound, and dissection microscopes.

AM2011: Use with younger students as an affordable and easy to use teaching tool in the classroom or in the field. The 4 white LED’s are always on, which may not be ideal for light-sensitive subjects.

AM3011: Use as a web-cam to remotely observe or display insects.

AM411T: Use in the field to capture images and videos of insects in their natural habitats. Pair with an accessory stand (MS35B or MS33W) to take pictures of pinned specimens.

AM413T: Take advantage of the measuring tools to collect data on the subjects (wing length, abdomen size, etc.). Use in the field to capture images and videos of insects in their natural habitats. Pair with an accessory stand (MS35B or MS33W) to take pictures of pinned specimens.

AD413T: Use without nozzle to get the lens closer to immobile insects in the lab. Use with closed nozzle in the lab or in the field when examining mobile subjects, like fruit flies, that might get into the inner-workings of the camera. Analyze the insects with measurement tools.

Recommended Accessories:

MS35B and MS36B table-top stands are best for precise analysis of smaller components or larger components with micro-details. These stands are rigid and stable and provide fine-tune adjustment.
