Counterfeit Component Detection
Usage
Verify component authenticity by checking for: scratches, cracks, bent or missing pins, corrosion, burn marks, discoloration, mismatching date codes, mismatch of date codes and visual age of component, multiple countries of origin, resurfacing, quality and consistency of printed text. Special Dino-Lite models with built-in polarized lighting can sometimes even detect original markings without removing the counterfeit surfacing.
